The famous tourist resort of Rimini and is located on the Adriatic coast of northern Italy, specifically in the region of Emilia-Romagna.The city has about 144,000 inhabitants (2011), and is an important transport hub.
Maracchia River runs through town, and the old bridge “Ponte d’Augusto from the 1300s crosses the river.

Rimini has several buildings from the Middle Ages and Renaissance – including the Church of San Francesco from 1456, the church of St. Augustine from 1247, Palazzo Comunale from 1562, Palazzo del Podestà from 1334 and Malatesta Temple from the 1400s.
Another popular tourist attraction is the Roman triumphal arch “L’Arco d’Augusto” from the year 27 BC Kr. This is one of the greatest monuments of the city.
