Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is located on the mainland, about 15 miles north of downtown Venice and is one of the main airports in northern Italy.The airport serves 8 million travelers a year (2011), and is thus one of the five busiest airports in the country.
The Italian name of the airport is “Aeroporto di Venice Marco Polo”.
41 airlines – including SAS, Norwegian, Swiss Air and KLM – have direct flights from Venice Marco Polo Airport to nearly 50 destinations in Norway and abroad.
The airport was opened in 1960 and has one terminal building.
