Angers-Loire Airport – Aéroport Angers-Loire – (ANE) is an airport in the French Ministry of Maine-et-Loire. The airport was originally named Angers-Marce Airport when it opened in 1998, but changed its name in 2006. It replaced the old airport of Angers, which had been in operation from 1908.
This is basically a domestic airport, which in recent years has been through a huge expansion. In 2010, the airport serviced 4200 passengers, but after a recent development a capacity of 50,000. It is expected to substantially increase in the coming years – and there are plans for more international destinations.
There is a restaurant and shop in the airport terminal – and in relation to the airport, there is also an exciting aviation museum.
To get to the center of Angers, located 16 km southwest of the airport, one can take a bus or taxi.
