Aspen is centrally located in the USA – 2410 meters – in the state of Colorado.The city is located 160 km southwest of Denver, is situated on the River Roaring Fork River – a tributary of the Colorado River.
Aspen is located in Pitkin County by county Rocky Mountains area, and is surrounded by mountains and wilderness areas.
In the 1880s Aspen was a lively mining town, and the world’s largest silver lump of 935 kg were found here. Today Aspen one of America’s most famous ski resorts, a popular recreation area.
There are four ski resorts in the area, and all are equipped with ski lifts and beautiful groomed trails.
The village has shops, hotels, restaurants, and nightlife venues – and this is also an upscale shopping area, with brands such as Dior, Prada, Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Fendi.
A major tourist attraction in the city is the Aspen Art Museum – where you can see exhibitions of international contemporary art.
Passengers traveling to Aspen in summer, it is popular with activities such as hiking in the mountains, horse riding, river rafting, fishing and kayaking trips. There are also a number of golf courses in the area.
