Shannon Airport (SNN) – as the Irish called Aerfort na Sionna – located on the west coast of Ireland – specifically in County Clare. The airport is right next to the small town of Shannon, just under 30 km west of the much larger city of Limerick. The airport was originally built as a seaplane port with a duty-free zone, which created the basis for a number of industrial enterprises and transport operations.
