Vilnius International Airport (VNO) – Tarptautinis Vilniaus Oro Uostas – is the largest civil airport in Lithuania. It is located 7 km south of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania – and was opened for traffic in 1944.
The airport has two terminals – one from 1954, which has a definite “Soviet” design, and modern in 2007 with an area of 17,000 m2. It serves nearly 1.4 million passengers annually, and there are regular flights from here to a number of European destinations, including to Oslo (Norwegian) and Copenhagen (SAS).
Vilnius International Airport is relatively easy when it comes equiped puplikumsfasiliteter, but you will find the most important. There are also several restaurants and cafes, as well as a small selection of shops. There are no hotels at the airport area, but the offer in and around the Vilnius is good.
