Albertslund located on the island of Zealand in Denmark, and is a suburb of the country’s capital city Copenhagen. The suburb has about 30,000 inhabitants (2011), located in the Capital Region – 18 km west of Copenhagen.
Albertslund is surrounded by woods and green spaces and the place has a diverse cultural life, leisure activities, cinema, theatre and shops.
The popular lido “Badesøen” located in Albert Lund, and you can swim happy guests frolic in a large heated outdoor pool. There is also a smaller children’s pool and water slides. The site also has cafes, playground and mini golf courses.
Another attraction in the area is “Viking Village”, located 5 km northwest of Albert Lund. Here’s a reconstructed historic environment with buildings, showing how the Vikings lived for about 1000 years ago. It has regular annual events.
Approximately 900 meters from the Viking village is Kroppedal Museum, which is also worth a visit. This is a museum with both permanent and changing exhibits, astronomy, archaeology and city history.
