Estoril is a seaside town in the western part of Portugal, on the Atlantic Ocean – 25 km west of Lisbon, 3 km east of the seaside resort of Cascais.It has around 26,000 inhabitants (2011).
Estoril is primarily known as a fashionable seaside resort with great tourist traffic in both summer and winter. The city also has its own playing casino and an international court for racing, such as has been used as the venue for the World Championships in Formula 1 class. Estoril also turf, golf courses.
The center consists of a number of fashionable hotels along the palm-fringed avenue. Sand beaches “Tamariz” and “monit” is the most popular.
Close by we find Estoril Estoril-height (109 m). It is famous for its beautiful views and its many magnificent trees, especially palms, eucalyptus and pine.
One of the main historical attractions are Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Vitória. Otherwise Citadel from the 1700s and several historic cemeteries near this mentioned as well-visited tourist destination in the city.
