Hammerfest is a city and municipality in Finnmark county. Hammerfest town has 7119 inhabitants (2012) located at Kvaløya by a bridge to the mainland. Hammerfest is the northernmost town and is located at 70 degrees north.

St. Michael’s Church is the world’s northernmost Catholic Church. Hammerfest also has an interactive Energy Center.
