Nyköping is located in southeast Sweden – Where the river Nyköpingsån flows into the Baltic Sea.The city is located in Södermanland County, 60 km northeast of Norrköping and 90 km southwest of Stockholm.
Nyköping has about 30,000 inhabitants (2011), and is an industrial and port city. In addition, Nyköping an important commercial center.
