Sogndal is a municipality and a village in the county which lies deep in the Sognefjord. In the north, the municipality Jølster, in the east to Luster, in the south to Laerdal and Vik, in the southwest to Leikanger and west to Balestrand and Forde. It should be 7 435 (2012) residents in Sogndal.
Sognefjord is Europe’s deepest and longest fjord and a popular tourist destination.
