Dresden in the east of Germany, and is the capital of Saxony.The city is located on both sides of the river Elbe, 40 km from the border with neighboring Czech Republic.

Dresden is known to be an art – theater and music city, and has a number of popular tourist attractions.

Baroque castle “Zwinger” from 1720 is one of the city’s sights. This is one of Germany’s most original and important Baroque construction. The castle was damaged during the 2 World War, but later restored. Here’s pavilions and a beautiful fountain and indoors, you can visit the Museum “Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister” – with its significant collection. Works by such Raphael, Rubens, Rembrandt and van Dyck are exhibited here.

Other attractions include Dresden Cathedral “Katholische Hofkirche” from the 1700s, Semper Opera from 1878 Freuenkirche – church from the 1700s and Park plant “Grosser Garten” – with botanical and zoological gardens, miniature train and a beautiful lake.

Dresden is otherwise a Museum, a military history museum and a bokmuseum.

The airport Dresden Airport is located 10 miles north of downtown.
